What should I do if something gets broken?
- Gather all the fragments together
- Take a few digital photographs and approximate dimensions of the object to give me a better idea of the damage and its size
- Do not be tempted to put the broken fragments together as this may further damage the break-edges or try to restore the object yourself as this will likely need to be reversed at further cost to you
- Wrap the individual fragments in tissue or kitchen paper
- Place in a suitable container and contact QW Conservation
Should you wish to make an insurance claim I will be happy to provide a written estimate or communicate with the insurance company directly.
The restoration work will only commence when you have agreed to the free quote and you have a thorough understanding of what can be achieved, ensuring your expectations are met.
